We are seeking teachers who can teach Korean through English. The ability to communicate fluently in English is essential, as many of our students study Korean using English as the primary language of instruction.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for motivated and professional Korean language teachers who meet the following criteria:

• Native Korean speaker or Korean proficiency at B2 level or above
• TOPIK Level 4 or higher (TOPIK Level 5-6 preferred)
• University degree is not required. Current university students are welcome to apply.
• Applicants must provide proof of Korean language proficiency (TOPIK certificate or an equivalent recognized language certificate).
• Minimum B1 Level English proficiency
• Previous Korean language teaching experience is an advantage.
• Experience preparing students for TOPIK examinations is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach students from beginner (A0) to advanced levels.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional online teaching environment.
• Responsible, punctual, and committed to delivering high quality online lessons.

Position Overview

As a Korean Language Teacher at PolyglotWorks Academy, you will:

• Teach Korean to students of different ages and proficiency levels
• Deliver engaging one to one and small group online lessons
• Teach Korean using English as the primary language of instruction
• Prepare students for TOPIK examinations
• Conduct placement interviews and language assessments
• Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
• Maintain accurate lesson records using our CRM system immediately after every lesson
• Provide detailed feedback and individualized study plans
• Participate in teacher meetings and professional development sessions

Teaching Skills

Successful candidates should be able to:

• Teach all CEFR equivalent proficiency levels
• Explain Korean grammar clearly in English
• Teach pronunciation and honorific speech
• Develop conversational fluency
• Improve listening comprehension
• Teach Korean writing and reading
• Prepare students for academic and professional purposes

• Deliver interactive and student centered lessons

• Deliver every scheduled lesson professionally
• Start classes on time

• Complete CRM lesson reports immediately after every lesson
• Record lessons according to academy policy
• Assign and review homework
• Monitor student progress
• Submit progress reports when requested
• Follow academy teaching standards
• Maintain confidentiality
