Senior Lawyer

"Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan" Limited Liability Partnership is looking for a suitable candidate for the English speaking Senior Lawyer.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• As Senior Lawyer to be responsible for all legal work of the company and associated work.
• To assist to handle important projects of the company, provide legal solutions, negotiate with customers or suppliers, and review contract risks.
• To draft and administer export-import and local contracts, negotiate deals.
• To analyze and resolve difficult legal issues in transactions and corporate operations, and seek compliance solutions.
• To interpret and analyze the updates or changes of important laws or regulations in Kazakhstan and provide the company's compliance advice solution.
• To take the lead in handling corporate disputes and government inspections.
• To guide the company's legal compliance work, alert compliance risks, conduct in-depth analysis and provide legal compliance solutions, provide legal compliance training and enablement, and insight legal updates and latest practices in Kazakhstan.
• To be on business trip as needed.
• To handle other daily legal affairs as instructed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in Law
• 5-8 years of post-graduate professional experience in a law firm or legal department of well-known enterprise.
• Strong understanding and experience in civil code, international business law, private international law, labor code, corporate law, cybersecurity law, personal data law etc..
• Strong knowledge of administrative legislation, tax law, finance law, custom law etc..
• Strong knowledge of civil, administrative, criminal procedure laws; experience in litigation and court procedures is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Russian and Kazakh.
• Strong analytical thinking, detail-oriented.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload whilst meeting with the tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work in an international team and develop effective working relations with colleagues.
• Proactive and self-motivated to get hands-on challenges and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in software and tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc..
• Professional attitude and strong personal ethics.
