Deputy Chief Accountant (Construction / EPC Projects)

We are a stable construction company delivering major EPC projects in Kazakhstan. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Deputy Chief Accountant to join our Finance team and act as a trusted second-in-command to the Chief Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting and tax records in full compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including banking, cash operations, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, employee advances, and tax accounting.
• Prepare and submit financial, tax, and statutory reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and government agencies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Kazakhstan accounting and tax regulations.
• Contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Perform the duties of the Chief Accountant during their absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Deputy Chief Accountant, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting and taxation under Kazakhstan legislation.
• Experience in construction companies or EPC projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in 1C, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
