Job Identification

We are looking for the Public Affairs Executive be a part of our Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

What we expect

Communication with stakeholders

• Build and maintain relationships with Akimats, ministries and local government officials
• Coordinate permits, approvals and regulatory communications
• Represent the company in meetings with public authorities and community stakeholders
• Facilitate cooperation on infrastructure and investment projects
• Ensure company activities align with local regulations and public interests
• Monitor and analyze the activities of state bodies in the field of businesses regulation
• Generate stakeholder maps depending on their impact on the business;
• Identify the risks to the company from the government regulation;
• Timely inform the company management about regulatory changes, assignments, transfers, dismissal of state stakeholders;
• Ensure constant communication with business and industry associations;
• Form a database of key government contacts both at the republican and regional levels.

Internal and external communications

• Prepare official letters, presentations and briefing materials
• Prepare speeches and performances for the Company management for internal and external purposes;
• Establish interactions with key speakers and opinion leaders;
• Manage and control the activities of partner contractors;
• Manage reputation risks.

Corporate social responsibility (hereinafter - CSR)

• Take part in CSR events, collect and distribute resources;
• Ensure the competitiveness of own performance and apply the best methods;
• Build relationships with partner organizations; carry out and coordinate actions and initiatives aimed at positively affecting the state of the environment and the well-being of the local population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, International Relations, Communicationsor a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations or a similar role, preferably in a multinational company
• Proven experience in interacting with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and key external stakeholders
• Kazakh and English languages level: Upper-Intermediate or above
