Government Relations Manager

An international company is looking for a Government Relations Manager to manage engagement with government authorities, monitor policy developments, and support the implementation of the company’s government relations strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s government relations strategy.

• Build and maintain professional relationships with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their potential business impact, and provide recommendations.

• Prepare policy briefs, position papers, official correspondence, and internal updates.

• Organize and participate in meetings with government representatives and other external stakeholders.

• Independently manage assigned government relations projects.

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other functions to address regulatory matters.

• Identify regulatory risks and contribute to mitigation plans.

• Ensure all government engagement complies with applicable laws and corporate ethics and compliance standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Government Relations, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, or a relevant government role.

• Proven experience engaging with government authorities and managing regulatory matters.

• Strong understanding of legislative processes and government institutions.

• Ability to analyze policy developments and translate them into practical business recommendations.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate across functions.

• Proficiency in English and the local language, both written and spoken
