Cost Control Engineer – EPC / Oil & Gas

Role Purpose

Responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs by integrating budget, actual costs, commitments, progress, resources, productivity, and forecasts, while providing timely analysis and early identification of cost risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budget, actual costs, commitments, accruals, and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and perform cost/variance analysis.
• Monitor staff, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract costs against budget.
• Prepare and analyze labor productivity reports and identify cost impacts of productivity trends.
• Monitor and validate progress and percentage completion for direct and indirect work packages.
• Support EAC/ETC forecasting and identify potential cost overruns.
• Perform root-cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Construction, Planning, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, and other project functions.
• Support management with accurate and forward-looking cost information.

Required Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – preferably Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Cost Control / Project Controls experience, preferably in EPC, Oil & Gas, or major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction activities and EPC execution.
• Good knowledge of cost control, progress measurement, productivity, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excel skills - preferably advanced level.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate
