Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, and payroll

• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts

• Manage tax reporting and compliance

• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation

• Monitor compliance with Sarens financial policies and internal controls

• Supervise and guide the accounting team

• Ensure proper cost allocation and support project accounting activities

• Maintain communication with headquarters and ensure group reporting requirements are met

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional certification

• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, including supervisory role

• Experience in multinational companies is an advantage

• Proficiency in ERP systems (1С) and Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Languages English, Russian /Kazakh

• It is also important that candidates:

• Have worked for the same company for at least 4 years;
• Have a stable employment history and have not changed jobs too frequently;
• Have previous experience working for international companies;
• Understand the difference between local reporting requirements in Kazakhstan and reporting to foreign shareholders.
