HSE Engineer (Aktau 6/1)

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements at the construction site.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health, industrial safety, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct daily HSE inspections and identify potential hazards and risks.
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of JSA, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks, HSE inductions, and safety training for employees.
• Monitor safety compliance during welding, construction, lifting, and work-at-height activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, reports, and statistics.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and construction teams on HSE matters.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and compliance with Permit to Work requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience as an HSE Engineer / HSE Specialist, preferably on construction or EPC projects.
• Experience on large-scale industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of HSE, occupational health, and industrial safety requirements.
• Practical experience in HSE inspections, Risk Assessments, JSA, and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
• Good command of English for technical documentation and communication with international teams.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is an advantage.
