Automation QA Senior Engineer

The Role:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team to work directly on our Customer’s gaming project. Reporting to the Lead Automation Engineer / Test Automation Manager, you will help build, maintain, and extend robust automated testing frameworks across the Customer's portfolio of applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with extended automation teams, developers, offshore resources, and business stakeholders to drive testing efficiency, integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and elevate overall quality coverage.

Key Responsibilities :

• Framework Design & Development:Design, develop, script, and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworks and test suites for mobile, web, RESTful APIs, and microservices testing.
• CI/CD Integration & Environment Setup:Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. Set up and manage test execution environments, including distributed testing setups utilizing Playwright, Selenium Grid, or similar tools.
• Test Execution & Defect Analysis:Execute test suites, analyze results, identify and efficiently debug defects, and provide detailed reporting and timely feedback to technology teams.
• Agile Ceremonies & KPIs:Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation testing.
• Documentation & Distributed Collaboration:Develop clear and concise documentation for automation frameworks, test plans, and test execution results. Work effectively with distributed teams across multiple locations to ensure clear communication.

Skills / Experience:

• Automation Expertise:Strong experience building automated test scripts with frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestComplete, and RESTful API automation tools.
• Programming Languages:Proven expertise in Java.
• Mobile & Web Platforms:Demonstrated ability to design and execute automated tests for native mobile (Appium, XCUITest, Espresso) and web applications.
• CI/CD & Version Control:Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gradle, Maven) and proficiency with Git/Gitflow.
• Cloud & Infrastructure:Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture testing strategies.
• QA Practices & Tools:Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin), Jira (or similar defect tracking tools), and excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Haves:

• Certifications:ISTQB/ISEB Advanced Level certification or Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Domain & Industry Experience:Experience working within a game development environment or the mobile gaming industry.
• Architecture & Operations:Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (New Relic, Prometheus, ELK stack).
