For our branch in Atyrau we are looking for HVAC Engineer

Main Tasks

• Provide the KDI with clear design inputs, requirements and technical instructions based on project specifications, applicable Kazakhstan requirements and agreed project decisions.
• Review KDI calculations, plans, sections, schematics, equipment schedules and BOQ/BOM. Check heating, natural/mechanical ventilation and cooling needs for each building and room against the approved design basis.
• Verify heat loads, air balances, equipment duties, duct/pipe sizing and pressure losses. Check climatic assumptions, frost protection, smoke control, maintenance access and consistency between calculations and drawings.
• Issue substantiated review comments, resolve KDI queries and prepare responses to Owner comments. Check corrections in revised documents and track outstanding deliverables and technical actions.
• Coordinate interfaces with architecture, structures, piping, electrical and controls, including heat-supply conditions, power loads, penetrations and fire/emergency operating modes.
• Prepare or update selected HVAC design criteria, specifications and material requisitions when assigned by the Engineering Manager. Support technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
• Resolve construction technical queries (TQs), discrepancies and proposed substitutions with the KDI and site team. Obtain required design approvals and ensure affected documents are updated.
• Support equipment checks, air/water balancing and functional testing. Verify technical punch closure, as-built drawings, test records, equipment passports and operating and maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Heating and Ventilation, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience designing or technically reviewing HVAC for industrial or technical facilities, with independent responsibility for an assigned scope and practical work with designers.
• Ability to check and independently verify heat-load, airflow and pressure-loss calculations, equipment selection and layouts using calculation tools or checkable spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of Kazakhstan construction, sanitary and fire safety requirements for HVAC, relevant SN RK, SP RK, ST RK and GOST documents, and project-selected international standards.
• Ability to review and mark up drawings using AutoCAD or an equivalent viewer, and work with technical registers in Excel and Word.
