Senior Project buyer

We seek a self-starter, autonomous and rigorous Senior Project buyer.

The Senior Project buyer will work within Purchasing team to purchase goods, materials and services related to construction needs (i.e. design, technical and author supervision contracts). The candidate will have a commercial background to properly understand the specifics of the goods, materials and services.

Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods, materials and services related to construction needs in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Conduct market survey, analyze data and consolidate results
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
• Develop creative and innovative procurement processes in frame of Purchasing Rules for Subsoil users
• Prepare and conduct the business correspondence with the potential and current suppliers and different external bodies to receive the information required for fulfilling the set objectives
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers
• Prepare a tender documentation, contract and assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
• Prepare purchase orders/contracts in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements

Requirements:

• minimum 3 years work experience in Supply Chain Management
• 2 years in Procurement
• Bachelors in Business/ Supply Chain/ Engineering/ Legal
• Solid analytical skills
• very organized, details-and results-oriented and flexible to accommodate constant changes.
• Excellent communication skills English/Kazakh/Russian (writing and verbal) to interact effectively with all level of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• high level of initiative and proactivity skills
• Knowledge and work experience of Purchasing Rules for Subsoil users is a plus
• Strong computer skills, especially Excel ( knowledge of an ERP such as SAP, is a plus)
• Be a strong team player.
• Willingness to travel

Terms:

• Location - office in Astana, with occasional business trips (project of a large international uranium mining company)
• The contract is concluded for the duration of a certain project
