Senior Tax Manager (Astana 5/2)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead the company's tax strategy, compliance, and risk management activities in Kazakhstan.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corporate tax strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with Kazakhstan Tax Code, IFRS, OECD guidelines, and Transfer Pricing regulations.
• Preparation and submission of all tax filings, including CIT, VAT, WHT, PIT, Social Tax, payroll taxes, and statistical reporting.
• Lead tax audits, disputes, appeals, and interactions with tax authorities.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
• Advise executive management on tax implications of business operations, investments, restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
• Identify tax optimization opportunities while ensuring compliance.
• Conduct tax risk assessments and maintain effective internal controls.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of tax experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing, International Taxation, and Tax Audits.
• Deep knowledge of Kazakhstan Tax Legislation, IFRS, and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
• Experience working with governmental authorities, external auditors, and international advisors.
• GCC experience is considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
